Stromanthe sanguinea 'Triostar'

Stromanthe like other plants from the Marantaceae family, are native to Brazil, growing in scrubland and clearings. The foliage has heavily coloured variegated leaves, from red, pink and cream too green with red undersides. With the right care, the ‚'Triostar' can reach 2 to 3 feet in height and 1 to 2 feet across, with the foliage reaching lengths of up to 50cm!

RATING: This plant has moderate care requirements. Stromanthe sanguinea 'Triostar' is a relative of the popular 'prayer plant', and can reach 2-3 feet in height and 1-2 feet across.

LOVES: Stromanthe sanguinea 'Triostar' enjoys having their soil kept moist at all times. Allow the top of the soil to dry out slightly before watering, too much water will cause root rot. Keep in a bright position well away from direct sunlight.

HATES: Dry air- this plant requires high humidity so it's best to keep it somewhere with moisture in the air (a bathroom/kitchen) or be grouped with other humidity-loving plants.
